Glenn Gould

One of the greatest Canadian artist. I remember when I first heard his interpretation of Bach's
Goldberg Variations. An emotional shock! Then I heard about his life and loved his music even more.

Learning more every day about Mexican Culture

Time to get back to work after a little break! I think I found my reference image when researching Mexican dance and discovered the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. I'd love to see one of their show one day. Everything looks absolutely beautiful and generous with everything from the music, the dance, the colors, the mise-en-scène, etc.

Cannes Nostalgia

I can't be nostalgic because I wasn't born when the film came out but I heard so much about it. We had the soundtrack on LP at home and I saw the movie on VHS. "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg" ("The Umbrellas of Cherbourg") won the Palme d'Or in 1964 and became such an iconic film. I love it for all its qualities, but probably most because it's one of those movies that's part of my "cultural/artistic" upbringing.

The gestures this week were challenging in a different and beautiful way as one of the models was pregnant.

Backstage ballerinas

I haven't posted in a while, here are a few drawings from the last few weeks...gestures to avoid to much rust and drawings from photography of ballerinas getting ready...or letting their feet take a break.

Happy Easter

Easter, when everyone loves baby birds...so here are my favorite: baby emperor penguins.
